When one of my closest friends started her journey into motherhood, I watched in awe as it all unravelled. All of the sudden there's this new person, this new favourite person in the world. Every chance I get I will photograph her, and I don't think her Mommy minds at all.
This is Ocean and her Mommy just after everyone's left from her baby shower. A credit to Heather for painting that gorgeous mural behind her in the baby room. It's beautiful!
Here are a couple shots of her awaiting baby Ocean to come into the world. Growing. Glowing & Gorgeous.

New Chapter
So this is new for me...Blogging...Thinking out loud...One of my closest friends made me a gift once of a picture frame with a picture of me in it with the quote "If you asked me what I came here to do, I would tell you, I am here to live out loud" And here I am.
I have been taking photographs since I can remember...I had a little pink "Le Clik" camera when I was about 9 or 10 and I used to hunt our yard for photographable things. I was fond of the Rhododendrons in the front yard. They were always teeming with bumblebees, and when in bloom, a beautiful bright fuscia. I liked taking pictures of the Rhodos and my younger sister Katie liked playing with the bumblebees...I also took photos of the Robins that would land on our fence. Eventually, I would dress up my sister and put flowers in her hair and photograph her. She was my first subject, other than the birds and the bees and the flowers and the trees.
I've come a long way since then. Always moving (slowly) like a leaf on a stream, towards my dream of being a real live photographer. (I do therefore) I am a photographer. I have always been a photographer, in one way or another. I have never been to school for photography (eeek) I've just loved it as long as I can remember. I've learned its' language. And after all these years, I am still completely in love with it. More so now than ever before.
So here it starts. I can't wait to see what transpires in the future. Excited about how many people's lives I will get to touch with my lens. How many moments, smiles, kisses, hugs and laughter will be shared before me, only for me to reflect it back and say "look how beautiful your life is!" I LOVE Photography, and I can't wait to photograph more wonderful people and their beautiful lives! For now I start you with some photos of some lovely flowers from my yard. Like the Rhododendrons, but captured much better than when I was 10 with my little Le Click!
Please visit often and leave me comments. Anything you think, say it, Out Loud.
